EGG STAINS
Scrape off as much of the egg as you can using a dull knife or spoon. Use a lifting motion as you scrape to avoid pressing the stain deeper into the fibres of the fabric.
Sponge the remaining stain residue with a clean, white cloth saturated with cold, soapy water. Make sure the water is not warm or hot, as hot water will set the egg.
If the stain is dried or old, soak in cold water using a liquid detergent with Oxygen Whitener.
After soaking for 30 minutes, wash in cold – not hot – water with detergent. If stain remains, soak an additional 30 minutes. Do not dry or iron until the stain has been removed completely.
Do not dry clean egg stains. The heat applied during the dry cleaning process will set the stain into your clothes.
