FAECES STAINS

Faeces is relatively easy to remove. Scrape off any excess, rinse under cold water and soak in a solution of detergent and cold water to loosen the stain. Never use hot water when soaking because it cooks the stain making it harder to remove.

Wash the garment in the hottest water safe for fabric.

For carpets and soft furniture, remove excess with a dull knife – being careful not to push downwards – then sponge the stain with detergent and warm water. Do not rub. Rinse with clean, warm water and dry. Repeat as necessary. You may need to apply a carpet shampoo treatment.
