GUM STAINS
Wait for the chewing gum to harden.
First, try removing the gum by saturating the area with warm white vinegar which dissolves the bond between the chewing gum and the fabric.
If this doesn’t work, place item in a freezer bag and store overnight in freezer. The frozen gum should break off when scraped with a knife. If the gum becomes warm and soft, place it back into the freezer or apply an ice cube to the affected area.
Apply a dab of laundry detergent to the stain and gently work into the affected area by rubbing the fabric together.
Wash in warm, soapy water with colour-safe bleach.
