URINE STAINS
Again, act quickly so that as little as possible soaks into the fibres of your clothes, carpet or furniture.
If the stain is fresh, rinse thoroughly in cold water, and then was as usual.
If the stain has dried, soak the article in a weak solution of water and hydrogen peroxide (or salt, as an alternative) overnight, then launder in hottest water safe for the fabric.
For carpets, treat the area immediately with soda water to minimize staining, then blot with paper towel. Do not rub. Once the excess urine has been soaked up, sponge the stain with salty water, rinse and blot dry with a clean, white towel. Repeat as necessary.
Sprinkling bicarbonate soda onto the stain and leaving for 10 minutes before vacuuming will dispel odours.
